FINNISH WINNER SHOW - HELSINKI, FINLAND
Without this show I could not imagine the end of the year. Great show with excellent judges, a nice meeting place for new and old friends.
Kennel Mersu was represented by three Boston Terriers this year and the results were really pleasing. There was 46 Bostons entered and the breed was judged by a well-known and respectable judge - Mrs. Liliane de Ridder Onghenale (Belgium).
Our bred Mersu Kismet Kreeta's pup Athene was shown in the puppy class. Athene was second in her class out of three female puppies. Congratulations, Laura!
In male juniors only one out of six got excellent - and it was our Mersu Universal Lake Travis! So Travis is now Finnish Junior Winner and got a res-CAC too, by the way!
At Home Travis is called Uuno and this was his first show ever! Congratulations, Piia!
Mersu Supergirl Peppermint added her first title to her big win at the Specialty show in August. Peppermint was Best of Breed and is now also Finnish Winner 2008! Congratualtions, Eeva!
 
WW 06-EUW 06 Mersu Happy Henrietta was placed as 3rd Best Female. Just great! Congrats, Minttu!
 
And last but not least - thank you ever so much, out handler Lasse Loumaselle! Once again we had a fantastic day thanks to you!

August 31, 2008 - Boston Terrier Specialty Show in Kaivopuisto, Finland -judge Mr. Terry Burgess, England. 59 Boston Terriers registered.
Kaivopuisto Specialty Show has been an long-awaited event for us. This time we had 6 of our dogs registered, but unfortunately our Grand Old Lady Outsapopin Bea Mercedes and her daughter Merry Mercedes were unable to participate. Apart from that fact we had a very pleasant day in the ring of this extremely strict judge.
Mersu Supergirl Sugar got an excellent and was 3rd in tough copetiton of junior class.

Mersu Supergirl Peppermint (intermediate class) had the second show of her life and the result was UNBELIEVABLE!
PEPPERMINT won the Boston Terrier Specialty Show of Finland!

There were 18 Bostons from Latvia, Russia and Estonia. The day was pleasantly successful for our kennel.
The youngest - Mersu Supergirl Sugar got an excellent and "lost" for a very pretty young dog Keen Lay Meril no Madram, whose sire is Bogerudmyra's Rasmus. Congratulations to Ilze and Tuula for Latvian JunCAC. Congrats to the owner Semenovits from Kalingrad, too!
Oui's Golden Touch of Midas can confirm his Latvian Junior Champion title after this show as he was Best of Opposite Sex!
But Mersu Merry Mercedes took it ALL! She was Best of Breed and can confirm her Latvian Ch title now.
Our co-owned Fin & Est Ch Maffi's King of Hearts is also a new Latvian Champion as he was 2nd Best Male. Congratulations, Merja!
INT CH and vetWW08 Outsapopin Bea Mercedes did a great show with lots of temperament in the Best Female ring (with her daughter) and added Latvian Veteran Champion title to her row of titles!
We would like to say thank you to the organizers of the show for great gifts and wish good luck fot the future to the Boston youngsters from the show.

SUGAR got VERY GOOD.
MERRY MERCEDES won her class and got C.A.C and got champion titel.
Outsapopin BEA MERCEDES won veteran females and become BOS VETERAN and lost the game to Merry Mercedes's grandfather NordW03, NZ CH, SU CH NNAMTRAH MATCH MAKER, who wbecame BOB VETERAN and now both of them can add one more title to their long lists - VETERAN WW08.
At the show we were really happy to meet Merry Mercedes's father's breeder Mrs. Tanja Colguhoun from New Zealand. Our best regards to Tanja, it was really nice seeing You there.
Our MERSU-kennel's MEGASTAR - MERSU HAPPY HENRIETTA was in champion class EX/4.
Now I want to thank TUULA, for taking care of transportation, and LASSE, for doing a good job in showring. And of course, thanks to the owner MINTTU for training HENRIETTA how to win! I want to say thank you to LAILA HEIKKONEN, too. She was ready to take pictures from the show ring and now we have some good evidence, not just memories, how it all happend. And last but absolutely not least thank You, AIVI, You always take extra good care of the show stars and during this travel You teatched to BEA MERCEDES how to move like a winning lady. Thank You, AIVI.....WE MADE IT!!!!!!!!!
The success story continued in Pärnu International Show 28.06.2008 when EST J CH Mersu Supergirl Sugar took Best Junior (2 nd Best Bitch) with EST J CH, JW 08 Oui's Golden Touch of Midas as BOS Junior (4 th BestMale).
EST J W 06 Mersu Merry Mercedes made the day by winning CAC & CACIB & BOO finishing her Estonian Champion title!
The sire of Mersu "Perfect" litter Multi CH. Bogerudmyra's Rasmus finished the picture by winning Best of Breed.

* Best of Breed Veteran and Veteran Winner 08 (2nd Best Bitch) INT CH Outsapopin Bea Mercedes kept our flag flying especially as her daughter WW 06 & EU W06 MultiCH & Multi Winner Mersu Happy Henrietta took BOB (Estonian Winner 08) finishing runner up in a strong group judged by Svein Helgesen (Norway) and the breed judge was Mrs. Jadranka Smojver-Selimovic from Croatia.
* The CAC winner, yet another INT CH Outsapopin Bea Mercedes daughter EST JW 06 Mersu Merry Mercedes took res. CACIB (3rd Best Bitch) making the line up quite a family affair!
* The junior Winner title and BOB junior (4th Best Male) Oui's Golden Touch of Midas.

Multi Ch MERSU HAPPY HENRIETTA continued her winning ways in the entry of 18 by taking yet another CACIB & Best of Breed under the german judge Torsten Himmrich. Later in the afternoon the MERSU-beauty sensationally won the Group - congratulations!!! The group was judged by Mrs. Zidy Munsterhielm-Ehnberg.
The Lahti show was more or less a MERSU event with Happy, Merry, Perfect and a couple of Super results to prove it. Naturally MERSU won Best Breeder's Group too!!
Special mention goes to Best Dog/CACIB Ch. Bogerudmyra's Rasmus. A Champion in five countries plays a part in MERSU succes being the sire of Perfect Gentleman.
A great day in the ring - a good cause for celebration!!

MERSU UNIVERSAL LAKE JACKSON lives with Kadi in Tallinn, but spends his weekends in Pärnu in the home of Kadi's parents. Hopefully we'll get some new pictures soon.
